Introduction

At Alterora OÜ (“We“,“Our“) we take your privacy very seriously. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we may receive during the normal operation of the application (“App“) and the companion site (“Site“).

Data Retention Policy, Information Collection And Use

The App will access your phone contacts and export them using one of the following methods:

(a) Send them as an email attachment to a destination of your choice.

(b) Save them as a file in the storage of your phone/device.

(c) Transfer them to the Site, as an intermediate stop for another phone/device.

In methods (a) and (b) we have no access to your contacts, or any other Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

In method (c) the contacts file will arrive to our server and remain there for a limited amount of time (usually 24 hours). After that short period, the contacts file will be deleted automatically. While your contacts file reside on our server(s) none of the personnel associated with us will try to gain unauthorized access to your contacts, unless this is instructed or required by a law enforcement entity or any applicable legislation. Furthermore, when your contacts are transferred from your phone to the Site or vice versa the connection is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and the contacts file remain encrypted using a secure hash algorithm.

When a contacts transfer is initiated to or from our Site, as described in method (c), the request may include the operating system/platform of your phone (e.g. Android, iOS) and the installed version of the App in order to serve better your request. We may also log your IP address in order (i) to protect our server(s) against hackers or other attacks and (ii) for statistical purposes.

Third Party Sites and Service Providers

The App does not contain advertisements or links to other sites for marketing purposes. We do not sell or trade your Personal Information to third parties.

We may employ third-party service providers in order to:

  • Host our services and facilitate them in various ways (technical support, backup, etc).
  • Process the payment and the billing information of our clients.

When you are emailing the contacts file you select the mail app and the mail service provider. You have no control or knowledge over these third party apps or providers, so please consult their privacy polices.

  • California Privacy Rights
    Residents of the State of California can request a list of all third parties to which our App has disclosed certain personal information (as defined by California law) during the preceding year for those third-parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and want such a list, please contact us and ensure you put the statement “Your California Privacy Rights” in the body of your request, as well as your name, street address, city, state, and zip code. In the body of your request, please provide enough information for us to determine if this applies to you. You need to attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for our response. Please note that under normal circumstances we do not disclose any personal information to third parties, other than the information needed for the purchase and the distribution of the App. Currently we don't take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed.
  • EU Privacy Rights & General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
    If you are resident in the European Economic Area, you may have certain rights, in accordance with applicable laws, concerning your personal data, including the right to request to access your personal data; to have your personal data corrected or erased or restricted; and the right to object to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Our App and the related services are not intended for children under the age of 13. Therefore we do not knowingly collect personal information via our websites, applications, services, or tools from anyone under 13.

Security

We makes the best efforts to prevent unauthorised access to your information. However, we shall not be liable for any attempt to hack or crack or otherwise gain access to any part of the App, the companion website including any of your information.
